Few points to remember, and avoid the wine hangover the next time you spend time with good company enjoying good wine.
- Drink Water – Alcohol dehydrate you according to health.com, drinking a glass of water after every glass of wine will keep you hydrated and increase the chance of feeling your perfect self the next morning.
- Eat Something – Eating an hour before enjoying your wine helps to absorb the alcohol, the best options are food with high-fat and carbs, but don’t stress if you would prefer a healthy choice go for fish containing healthy fatty acids like salmon, trout or mackerel. While enjoying your wine snack on cheese and nuts.
- Know your limits – A hangover is the body’s natural way of clearing the toxins in your body. Because the human brain has a late reaction to alcohol, you might get drunk without feeling tipsy. So knowing when to say NO will be very beneficial to you in the morning.
- Choose your wine – Wine Folly suggests the following types of red wine to limit that dreaded Wine Hangover. Dry Reds with lower alcohol 12.5-13.5% Moderate Tannins like Cabernet Sauvignon, or we recommend Le Pommier Red Blend, an easy drinking red blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
