This December holiday we’re daring you to take time to discover what the Stellenbosch winelands have in store for you. With more than 140 wine farms, the area is definitely saturated with many wine experiences for you to explore.

Keep an open mind and enjoy the various wine ranges and wine restaurants available in the Stellenbosch area. There is a winefarm experience to satisfy everyone’s needs!

Wine Tasting at The Bergkelder

The Bergkelder includes wine tastings in their wine tours and also have daily wine tastings. They offer a selection of fine wines, focussing on Fleur du Cap.

Cellar Tours and Cigar and Whisky Lounge at Asara Wine Estate & Hotel

Asara offers cellar tours and produce 65% red and 35% white wines. It also features the Sansibar Africa’s Cigar and Whisky Lounge, which offers single-malt  whiskies, fine imported cognacs and hand-rolled cigars and much more.

Family Friendly Fun at Le Pommier Wine Estate

Le Pommier is ideal for families, offering child friendly activities and menu. There is also a picnic area with a play area offering fun in the sun in the great outdoors.

They offer an easy-drinking wine range, and wine tastings from R30.00 per person.

Barrel Sampling and Personalised Wine Labels at Zorgvliet Wines

Zorgvliet Wines offers barrel sampling included  in their cellar tours. The wine estate is set in the  Helshoogte Pass and also gives clients  personalised wine labels.

Farm Atmosphere at Middelvlei Estate

Middelvlei Estate is known for its hospitality and  farm atmosphere, offers a personal, unforgettable and an authentic Stellenbosch winelands experience for the whole family. Brothers Tinnie and Ben Momberg are continuing the family’s legacy of  winemaking by producing superb quality wines.

Children’s Grape Juice Tasting at Spiers

Something different that introduces kids to the art of  tasting is Spier’s Children’s Grape Juice Tasting. Children can enjoy a tasting of three different grape  juices and an educational activity sheet highlighting the role insects play in the estate’s vineyards.
