Le Pommier Wine Estate can be found on the Helshoogte Pass next door to Zorgvliet Wine Estate. The two wine estates have many characteristics in common - a shared heritage and wine legacy. Both Estates are set against the beautiful backdrop on the Banhoek Valley and Simonsberg Mountain. Lush vineyards characterise the views of Zorgvliet and Le Pommier Wine Estates.
Le Pommier Wine Estate’s wines are made in Zorgvliet Wine Estate’s wine cellar; well known for its technologically advanced cellar. Zorgvliet’s wine cellar is where winemaker Neil Moorhouse, also a common factor between Zorgvliet Wine Estate and Le Pommier Wine Estate, creates the easy drinking Le Pommier wine range.
Neil Moorhouse is a well-known winemaker in the Stellenbosch winelands. He blends Le Pommier’s different cultivars to produce a wine range distinct to the estate. Neil mixes a special type of grape exclusive to Le Pommier Wine Estate’s terroir to characterise the wine, giving it a distinct taste that is not too complicated.
Le Pommier wine is easy on the palette and you will enjoy it as a novice wine drinker. The range includes Le Pommier Sauvignon Blanc, Le Pommier Unwooded Chardonnay, Le Pommier Cabernet Franc Rosé and Le Pommier Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. The Wine Estate’s range will soon expand with the release of new wines in the pipeline.
